Eukaryotic Microbiology (EUMIK)

The aim of the EUMIK project is to enable creation of multi-disciplinary research team, strengthened by the capacity of foreign expert, focused on the microbiology of eukaryotic organisms. Activities of the project are designed primarily to allow the accumulation of intellectual resources for the development of top-class research center with close links to the preparation of early stage researchers.

Innovation of Study Program Pharmacy on Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University (FAFIS)

Requested budget: 26.095.000 CZK

The project aims to improve the quality and differentiation of education, improvement of the educational process and results of education at the Faculty of Pharmacy. This will be achieved by the support of innovation of study program Pharmacy by introducing modern ICT tools, development of faculty involvement in international exchange programs and steps leading to increase the impact of international mobility on education of students.

Establishment of Research Team Focused on Experimental and Applied Biopharmacy (TEAB)

Requested budget: 29.463.000 CZK

The project aims to improve and consolidate personnel ensuring of research and development activities by improving the research capacity of the applicant organization. Specifically it is the training of doctoral students and improvement of research and scientific conditions of staff in the field of experimental and applied biopharmacy.

Building of Interdisciplinary Temas with the Use of Experience and Knowledge of Reintegrating Scientists (BITER)

Requested budget: 39.762.908 CZK

The objective of BITER project is establishment of two multidisciplinary teams focused on the issue of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases under the management of foreign experts in the field of neurosciences, which will significantly contribute to the development of scientific and educational activities of researchers, postgraduate students and employees of research organizations, supported as project target groups by seminars, and creation of new methodologies and scientific publications in international impact magazines. BITER is complementary project to the investment project NUDZ (National Institute of Mental Health, registration No. CZ.1.05/2.1.00/03.0078 in negotiation in OP VaVpI - the Operational programme Research and Development for Innovations) in frame of which a cutting-edge research center off innovative medicine will be built in Klecany near Prague. Implementation of both synergic projects will strengthen excellence of current researchers of the Psychiatric Center Prague and improve foreign cooperation of experienced and beginning researchers. Applicant of the project is the organization with long-term experience with implementation of similar projects.

Biology of Tumor Cells (BINAB)

Requested budget: 38.735.519 CZK

Submitted application is complementary to BIOCEV project (it is currently undergoing evaluation process by the Evaluation Commission in frame of the OP VaVpI - the Operational programme Research and Development for Innovations). This investment project will create excellent background for the functioning of new research teams. The purpose of BINAB project is to make use of this opportunity and to build a team with interdisciplinary approach to the research of tumor cells in frame of BIOCEV. The project focuses on academics and other university employees, students and researchers in Convergence regions. Involvement of CS will be realized mainly by dissemination of results in a form of specialist events and widened offer of education. Our goal is creating quality scientific team and its international establishment for long-term sustainability of research activities. BINAB with its activities will contribute also to diversification and innovation of education of beginning researchers.

Financial Literacy of Young People (Finanční gramotnost)

Requested budget: 6.083.545 CZK

The aim of the project is increasing the financial literacy of students of the 3rd and 4th grades of selected high schools in the region of Ústí nad Labem. Attendance of one-semester lecture series will expand student's knowledge in the area of financial markets, mainly banking and insurance sectors, which will increase their direct employability on labor market. Attendance of the one-semester course will enable the students to acquire formal authorization in financial consultancy and eventually to work as self-employed persons after finishing high school. Furthermore, the financial literacy leads to a long-term growth of quality of life of participants, for instance during their university studies. The project will also include lecture series for pedagogues. Training materials used in the first series will be evaluated and revised before the start of the second stage. Training for pedagogues and e-learning course, available on websites of applicant and partners also after the end of ESF financing, guarantee further dissemination of outputs and therefore also its sustainability for other students.
