Monika is a graduate of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen's Bachelor of Arts at the Faculty of Philosophy and is studying a Master's degree in Global, Migration and Development Studies at the Faculty of Science of Charles University at the same time as acting as an office assistant. Within previous jobs, she has gained a number of experience in positions in the non-profit sector, specifically in the Organization for Aid to Refugees, which focuses its activities on providing free legal advice to foreigners, integrating foreigners into the majority society, or obtaining international protection and other opportunities to stay in the Czech Republic. It has also been successfully involved in the operation of the University of West Bohemia, a nonprofit organization, the Buddy System University of West Bohemia, which provides help to foreign students of the university with the formal matters of their stay in the Czech Republic, and provides support for their ­better adaptation in the new university environment.
