University Centre of Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB)

Requested budget: 681.042.000 CZK

The project aims to support innovation leading to efficient usage of energy and materials in buildings via multidisciplinary approach of the University Centre of Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB) towards the research. UCEEB represents modern centre that focuses on implementation of innovation in construction and reconstruction of buildings as well as on energy efficiency of buildings. Activities of the Centre will result in acquisition of new findings about the energy efficiency of buildings and their later implementation into practice. This will be possible thanks to close cooperation with industry and public sphere. Proposed centre offers complex research and education programmes which are the key for training human resources necessary for the praxis. Knowledge acquired thanks to Centre's activities will also support the competitiveness of regional small and medium enterprises. UCEEB is divided into six different research divisions based on the topic they are devoted to. These are: cutting down energy requirements of the buildings, efficient usage of renewable resources, systems of intelligent management, quality of the indoor environment and environmental continuity.
