The project aimed to establish a training centre for further education of physiotherapists in innovative rehabilitation method. McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and therapy is the only one internationally recognized method of dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of spine diseases, which is mainly based on the active exercise of the patient. Use of this method for treatment of back pain reduces the overall treatment time from 6 months to 14 days. In addition, there is no need of hospitalization and surgery, and therefore the costs of the treatment decrease from almost 70 thousand CZK to less than 860 CZK.
