Microbiological Center RIBM Brno (Centrum MCB)

Requested budget: 374.200.000 CZK

Microbiological Center of the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting (RIBM) in Brno will be a specialized microbiological workplace of RIBM. The center will be placed in the premises of RIBM in Brno, owned by applying organization. Reconstruction necessary for project implementation and for realization of project research activities (reconstruction of existing buildings plus a newly built part). The project implementation will have a positive environmental impacts, especially in its operational stage. Reconstructed and enlarged capacity will be low energy, with the use of heat pump. Two independent water circuits will be installed in the building so that drinking and service water is separated. These circuits will be connected to a parallel sewerage system which will enable to drain effluent to a public sewerage system while a plain waste water from laboratories will be re-used after cleaning process as a service water (e.g. for refrigerating, or for WC). There will be a well placed on the plot of land of the applicant, it will serve as supplementary source of the service water. Beside a usual waste system, the laboratories will have also biological waste system with a sump. The project implementation will not lead to occupation of so far non-built-up area.
